Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal on Saturday left many surprises by suddently announcing his engagement to Dhanashree Verma, as he shared the picture from his Roka ceremony.

Chahal took to social media to post a photo of himself and Dhanashree Verma and captioned the post “We said “Yes” along with our families #rokaceremony.” Well, it won’t be completely wrong to say that not many of you had heard about Dhanashree Verma before her engagement with the India cricket star although she is quite popular on social media.

 Dhanashree Verma is the perfect definition of ‘beauty with brains’. On her official Instagram profile, Verma describes herself as ‘Doctor, Choreographer, YouTuber, and the founder of Dhanashree Verma Company’. She is a dentist by profession and graduated from D Y Patil Dental College, Navi Mumbai in 2014.

And while we don’t know whether she is a practising doctor or not, one can say that she is enjoying her role as a dancer and a choreographer. She is running a dance academy in Mumbai. Dhanashree Verma is also one of the most famous dancer YouTubers in the country.

Her YouTube channel ‘Dhanashree Verma’ has more than 1.5 million followers while she has a fan following of nearly half-a-million on Instagram. The numbers are only going to increase now after her engagement with Chahal. She has collaborated with a number of big names from Bollywood for her YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, Chahal will be seen in action again next month when he dons the Royal Challengers Bangalore jersey for IPL 2020. The leg-spinner has not played a competitive game since the tour of New Zealand earlier this year. The much-anticipated tournament will be played in the UAE from September 19 to November 10.

Two weeks ago, Dhanashree Verma posted a video of Yuzvendra Chahal on Instagram, wishing him on his birthday. In the video, Chahal can be seen dancing to the tunes of “Slow Motion” from Bharat. “I have to say that this dance teacher of yours did take your wicket @yuzi_chahal23 You’re someone who is by far the most entertaining student & also an amazing person. Slow motion feels with our right arm leg spinner,” she wrote as the caption, to which Chahal replied, “Thank you for everything,” with a heart emoticon.

Apart from being a dancer, Dhanashree is a dog lover and travel enthusiast.

For the uninformed, two weeks before their official ceremony, Dhanasharee had also posted a video of Yuzvendra Chahal on Instagram, wishing him on his birthday. In the video, Chahal can be seen dancing to the tunes of "Slow Motion" from Bharat.
