Brahmastra has been in the making for a while now. But it's a magnum opus with never-seen-before visuals and great action. We understand that it takes time. The film however was set to release in December this year. The plans went for a toss when coronavirus struck and the country went into lockdown mode. Twenty six days of shooting were still left, when that happened. Now we hear that Brahmastra will go on floors in October.
The film being heavy on action and VFX, the makers will need quite a few people on the sets. Hence they plan to shoot only in October and that too in double shifts. A source said to a leading daily, “If the crisis is relatively under control, and things go as planned, the film will go back on floors in October. Ayan has broken down the shoot into two shifts — 9 am to 2 pm, followed by another from 4 pm to 9 pm. There will be two separate minimal crews for the stints, with each unit adhering to on-set safety guidelines. Since producer Karan Johar is eyeing a June 2021 release now, Ayan wants to wrap up the shoot latest by December.”
