Former Mumbai model accuses 9 people including actor Jackie Bhagnani of rape and molestation, FIR lodged
The Bandra Police has registered an FIR in connection with a complaint of alleged rape and molestation made by a former model and lyricist. Nine high-profile people named include actor-producer Jackie Bhagnani, glamor photographer Colston Julian and Krishna Kumar of the T-series.
A lyricist and former model based in Mumbai (Mumbai) has filed rape and molestation complaints against nine people of the Hindi film industry. CNN-News18 has a copy of the FIR, which also names Bollywood actor Jackky Bhagnani and eight others. The complaint includes Bollywood photographer Colston Julian, Krishna Kumar of T-series, Anirban Das Blah, co-founder of talent management company Kwan.
Nikhil Kamat, Sheel Gupta, Ajit Thakur, Gurujyot Singh and Vishnu Vardhan Induri have also been named in the FIR. A senior PI of Bandra police station has confirmed that an FIR has been registered, but declined to divulge further details. No arrest has been made yet.
According to the FIR, the victim claims that incidents of alleged sexual harassment have been occurring since 2015.
The FIR states that while Jackky Bhagnani molested the victim in Bandra, Nikhil Kamat harassed the victim in a luxurious hotel in Santa Cruz. It also claimed that Sheel Gupta sexually assaulted the model in 2015 in a building in Andheri.
The copy of the FIR also states that photographer Colston Julian raped the complainant several times between 2014 and 2018.
Senior IPS officer of Mumbai Police said, "We are probing the matter. We will definitely interrogate the accused soon. We have booked all of them under sections 378 (N), 354 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Has filed a case under. "
